Dharma and I

This is me alongside my adopted wolf, Dharma. Dharma resides at Wolf Park in Battle Ground, IN (near Lafayette). The first year I visited Wolf Park, Dharma was only a small pup, so I felt I had some common ground to share with her. She is only two years old and is very sweet. I also had the opportunity to meet her puppies, who are 3 months old, because it was a special day for them to visit the pack. I love them all; wolves are amazing animals and it was surprising to see how different they are from domestic dogs.

How did I adopt a wolf? Easy. Anyone can do this through Wolf Park's "Adopt-a-Wolf" program. It is $175 for a sponsorship, and and extra $50 if you want Monty Sloan to take pictures of you with your wolf. Monty is an excellent photographer I might add, and he did this picture! After adopting your wolf you can visit it by appointment pretty much anytime you want for a year. It's a fantastic program and it keeps the wolves alive and healthy
